crich house is in an ideal location to explore "barney castle".Everything from takeaways to restaurants (even a tax free greggs)plenty of pubs and an abundance of shops for retail therapy.

Although we were in much need of comfortable and restful accommodation, we were totally unprepared for the exceptional and faultless hospitality and comfort provided by Alison and Steve. Our total experience at Crich House added immense value and pleasure to our stay in Barnard Castle. Of particular note was the time and trouble Steve took to engage with us in several conversations about local 'fauna' and customs. Read less
